The Third Dress is me (and David)
Dressed for dinner the housekeeping staff took this shot at the entrance to our stateroom, Arrange evening top and Jaeger London evening silk trousers. Tracy was with me when I bought it in a boutique in Burford and knows this top as an old faithful of many lovely evenings.
This stateroom on the Aurora is a marvel of storage with every corner used. See a mirror? There will be a shelf and cupboard space behind. Glorious morning sun woke us on the 10th but 28 knot waves rocked us to sleep. At about 3.30am we saw the lights of another ship on the horizon- a bit of a Titanic moment.
We woke on the 11th to sun and a much calmer sea and ventured out onto the deck walked for about 1 ½ hours but not too many photograph worthy dresses as everyone is still well wrapped up.
The 12.00 noon bell rang and informed us we are just south of Cape Vincent traveling at 16 knots and the temperature is 14 degree. The horizons are wide and the air is fresh there are countless activities going on which we are managing skilfully to avoid with the exception (so far) of the cruise lectures with excellent information about the ports, countries and cultures. It seems that the grand voyage Cruise 2011 has made some history in that 1450 of the 1800 passengers are going all the way round the trip and it was sold out 18 months ago.
It sounds and looks fabulous already. I very much look forward to reading the rest of your adventures!
